Agreement between DAT and Lufthansa strengthens skyhub PAD’s flight offerings
Starting on April 28, 2026, skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG—a private initiative unique in Germany—will offer codeshare status for the route from Paderborn/Lippstadt to Munich. This will allow passengers from Paderborn/Lippstadt to fly to destinations around the world via the Munich hub using a Lufthansa flight number from the very start. At the same time, the visibility of these flights on booking portals will be significantly improved.
These improvements are made possible by an agreement between the operating carrier DAT and Lufthansa. Thanks to the codeshare arrangement — which builds on the existing interlining agreement and also includes the new destinations of Lübeck and Pécs passengers benefit from numerous advantages. For example, they can book direct flights through all of Lufthansa’s sales channels. Travelers receive a Lufthansa flight number at the time of booking and enjoy a seamless travel experience.
“We have worked together intensively towards this milestone. The codeshare status strengthens connectivity to international destinations, improves the findability of our flights on online platforms, and simplifies the booking process. We would like to thank Lufthansa, DAT, and all other partners who contributed to this success with great dedication,” underlines Christoph Plass, Chairman of the Advisory Board of skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG..
In March 2025, 36 companies and private individuals founded skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG to continue the flight connection from Paderborn/Lippstadt to Munich. The contract with DAT was signed in April 2025, and flight operations began on September 1, 2025. Since then, several capital increases have taken place, bringing the number of shareholders to 103. With the start of the 2026 summer flight schedule, skyhub PAD will also connect the cities of Lübeck and Pécs to the Munich hub.
DAT operates the skyhub PAD flights between Paderborn/Lippstadt and Munich with an ATR72-600, offering 70 comfortable seats. Fares start at 149 euros, including taxes and fees, for a one-way ticket. Thanks to the new codeshare agreement with Lufthansa, direct flights to Munich can now also be booked via www.lufthansa.com. Alternatively, direct flights are still available via www.skyhub-pad.de and www.dat.dk. In addition, connecting flights via the Munich hub are available on www.lufthansa.com as well as through the major online travel portals, with luggage conveniently checked through to the final destination.
