The Owners Club now has 59 members, including entrepreneurs and private individuals

Support continues to grow: skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG, which will be operating up to three daily flights from Paderborn/Lippstadt to Munich and back (Monday to Friday and Sundays) in cooperation with the airline DAT from 1 September 2025, welcomes 23 new shareholders to its circle. This brings the number of entrepreneurs and private individuals contributing to the maintenance of this important flight connection to 59.

“It’s fantastic to see the tremendous support our initiative is receiving throughout the region and especially from the local business community. We are delighted to welcome the new shareholders, whose capital contributions will help ensure the success of skyhub PAD. At the same time, we are open to further limited partners who are equally committed to our airport and the scheduled connection to Munich,” emphasises Christoph Plass, Chairman of the Advisory Board of skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG and Vice-President of the East Westphalia Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Bielefeld.

The initiative to continue the scheduled service at Paderborn/Lippstadt Airport, which is unique in Germany, took concrete shape in March 2025. At that time, 36 entrepreneurs and private individuals founded skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG. Member of the Bundestag Dr. Carsten Linnemann and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Flughafen Paderborn/Lippstadt GmbH, District Administrator Christoph Rüther, had initiated the initiative from the business community for the region.

In April 2025, the contract was signed with the operating airline DAT, and one month later the flight times were finalized. From September 1, 2025, flights will depart from Paderborn/Lippstadt at 7:00 a.m. (arrival: 8:25 a.m.), 1:55 p.m. (arrival: 3:20 p.m.) and 6:30 p.m. (7:55 p.m.). These flight times ensure optimal connectivity in Munich to many connecting flights around the world, especially to the USA and Asia. In the opposite direction, flights will depart at 9:00 a.m. (arrival: 10:30 a.m.), 4:10 p.m. (arrival: 5:35 p.m.) and 8:35 p.m. (arrival: 10:00 p.m.).

Thanks to the interline agreement between DAT and Lufthansa, since the beginning of July 2025, interested parties have once again been able to book connecting flights via the Munich hub, with convenient through-check-in of baggage, with Lufthansa as well as on flight portals and at travel agencies. Flights to and from Munich can be booked online at www.skyhub-pad.de and www.dat.dk.

DAT will operate flights between Paderborn/Lippstadt and Munich with an ATR72-600, which offers 70 comfortable seats. “This is a particularly quiet and efficient turboprop aircraft that has been specially developed for shorter routes. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, these aircraft are more climate-friendly than conventional jets,” emphasizes Klaus Marx, managing director of skyhub PAD GmbH & Co. KG. Fares start at €149 including taxes and fees for a one-way flight.
